We were taught to love this land like your favourite auntie, to honour and nurture it in all its splendid eccentricity. Our lands include a north and south forest — not too big, not too small, just right! We have an acre of vegetable, flower, medicine, and creative gardens; some tucked away under two large hoop houses, some overlooking the wetlands. We love wild tea, wetlands adventures, and whirligigs. Also awesome, our beautiful historic buildings including a 1950s Post Office, Old Filling Station & Dry Goods Counter, a Settlers Cabin (—we think the Sinclair Brothers lived here), and a renovated Farm House. We believe in *framilies* yup framilies -- those magic people who are friends that just feel like family. Those folks get all access passes, right? We know we have way more than we need and much more to give.

We also love land-to-lips food, drink and confectionary and the Spilli Station Cafe is where it all happens.

We believe in mad creativity and deep beauty. We grew up listening to campus radio and Canadian indie artists in basements, small venues or at the kitchen table. But Neue Deutsche Welle -- German New Wave and Rocking Against Racism are also part of our DNA. We knew about Josh Homme’s songwriting genius maybe before he did and have always been a Steady as She Goes kind of joint.

In brief, we love all music but tend towards the feel of mossy beats in between our toes, use our sonic superpowers to pick up fresh ear scents, and get muddy in the tall weeds searching for primordial gooey gems to put on stage for a night or two when summer starts dropping by.

Our Home: Your Gateway to the Columbia Valley & The Heart of the Pacific Flyway.

Spillimacheen has always been a place for those migrating in all directions. We are so very proud to be the Northern Gateway to the Columbia Valley and the Heart of the Pacific Flyway, which runs from Arctic tundra to South American Wetlands. We adore the Columbia Basin -- the skies, waterways, forests, and grounds we steward and relationships to our neighbours and kin, two-legged, four–legged, flippered, and finned.

By foot, flight, river, or road millions have travelled this paradise nestled between the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges. Flyway Farm & Forest would not be here today if it were not for the fierce women and families who developed this land. We also know the settler families on these lands prospered because of those Peoples who preceded them from time immemorial, including those from the Ktunaxa traditional territories, the Secwepemc and Kinbasket Nations, and the Métis communities who have and continue to make these lands their homes. We are thankful!
